About 57.7 percent of the 26 degrees and certificates handed out by Sterling College in 2017-18 were to students in agriculture, agriculture operations, and related sciences programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency’s National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Common conferred 15 bachelor’s degrees in agriculture, agriculture operations, and related sciences programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor’s degree in agroecology and sustainable agriculture. Data shows the school gave out 15 bachelor’s degrees in agroecology and sustainable agriculture, followed by 5 bachelor’s degrees in ecology and 4 bachelor’s degrees in general studies, liberal arts and sciences, and other humanities.
The college enrolled 136 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
