Chamber & Economic Development of the Rutland Region issued the following announcement.

The Pittsford Recreation Department and Omya will once again be teaming up for Green Up Day in Pittsford on Saturday, May 7th. Omya will provide an extra Green Up Day trash dumpster that will be located at the Town Municipal Office on 426 Plains Road. *Residents are strongly encouraged to drop off their full Green Up Day bags at the Town Office. As in prior years, Green Up Day bags can also be deposited at the Transfer Station. Compliments of our friends at Omya, a light lunch of hot dogs and chips from Keith’s Country Store will be available at the Town Office from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We hope you will stop by to mingle with your neighbors. Join us for some fun! Volunteers are needed for the Green Up Day.
