The 20th annual Gift-Of-Life Marathon Blood Drive makes its first stop at Castleton University on Dec. 6 from 12-5 p.m. at the President's House. This year's drive is in honor of long-time volunteer and fixture of Rutland County blood drives, David Carini, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year. Donors will receive a copy of "Without Any Warning: Casualties of a Caribbean Vacation" by Stefanie Schaffer '20, a GOLM Ambassador and Castleton alumna who received voluminous amounts of blood while being treated for critical injuries caused by a 2018 boat explosion.
