United Way of Rutland County recently issued the following announcement.

Your registration for the United Way May Day 5k helps support agencies and programs across Rutland County! From new shoes for students in Slate Valley Unified School District  through Happy Feet to free books for kids in Ira through Imagination Library at Rutland Free Library ; or advocacy in Rutland through ARC Rutland Area to outdoor learning for kids with Vermont Farmers Food Center . So come have fun for a good cause! See you on Sunday!
